Sometimes the stories that stay with us the longest come from worlds far beyond our own.

Meeting Danny Crates was one of those moments. His journey - filled with highs, lows, grit, and reinvention - reminded us that resilience isn’t industry-specific; it’s human. 

One of Danny’s insights that hit home hardest for me was the sheer public-ness of success and failure for an athlete competing at the highest level.

As business owners our successes and failures are often hidden away on a profit and loss statement or a balance sheet - as an athlete you have a camera in your face whether you are celebrating gold or or devastated by defeat in a race you have trained for years for.

Hearing how he navigated adversity gave everyone in the room a fresh lens on their own challenges as developers. Different fields, same fire. 🔥

If his story taught us anything, it’s this: progress comes from how you rise, not how you fall.
