Property developers tend to go for progressively larger deals, as they progress through their careers. Perhaps due to the desire for growth, perhaps driven by ego.
As they do this, the projects they work on become longer, and the time between committing money to a project and getting it back out the other end typically gets longer. Business models can evolve, but be careful what you wish for and ensure that your business model still works.
It is important to grow and challenge ourselves, but changes in market conditions can turn within the duration of a build, so be sure that your business model is robust and you are not just getting swept up with the enthusiasm of projects that have gone well.
We all know what follows a boom! 💥📉
